Overlooking the village of Phandalin from the western outskirts of the town, Tresendar Manor sits on a low hillside amid woods and thickets. The ancient manor has been newly rebuilt, and is the current residence of Townmaster Ryathon Silverthorn.

Newly rebuilt, Tresendar Manor is equal parts small castle and stately home. Beneath the manor, the catacombs of the ancient Tresendar family lie, having once been the headquarters of the Redbrand bandits. None of the townsfolk are entirely sure what Tresendar Manor's new master, Ryathon Silverthorn, has made of the catacombs.

History[]

In ancient times, back when Phandalin was a town under the control of the Synari Empire, Tresendar Manor served as the home of a prominent Synari family, whose name was Tresendar. The lineage of the ancient family lasted until the fall of Phandalin itself to a rampaging horde of orcs, with the fabled warrior, Aldith Tresendar the Black Hawk, falling in his ancestral home's defense.

In more recent times, Phandalin was resettled, this time by Althoria; however, in the early days of the village's existence, the townsfolk largely shunned the ruined manor, fearing it to be haunted. During the Reign of the Redbrands, the Redbrand bandits used this superstition to their advantage, and made the catacombs beneath Tresendar Manor into their hideout.

Yet the Heroes of Phandalin would soon arrive in Phandalin, and within two days of the heroes' arrival, the Redbrands were all but exterminated. Tresendar Manor would sit empty again for a short time, until it was rebuilt at the command of newly elected Townmaster Ryathon Silverthorn. Ryathon, himself one of the heroes of Phandalin, would then take up residence in the newly rebuilt Tresendar Manor.
